Here are the details...

Registration is under way!

By now, you should have received an e-mail with the reunion registration details and form. Just 74 days from today - we'll be having our 40th reunion! We hope you've already sent it in, but we know most of you have put it off! Go! Right now! You don't even have to look for the form! You can find it right here... http://www.dchs71.com/rsvp. Print it out and send it to Millie. Remember, if you send it by August 1st , you can save $5 per person.

We want you there!

The Homecoming Game is scheduled for our Reunion Weekend!

Boy, were we surprised! And then we were delighted! As soon as the registration forms went out, we learned that the Homecoming Game had been scheduled for Friday night of our reunion weekend. The Hornets will be taking on Nansemond River, starting at 7:00 pm. Want to go to the game? Tickets will be available at the gate. A center section of bleachers will be reserved for reunion classes. We're getting the reunion started with a Meet and Greet at Roger Brown's at 5:00 pm. So come "tailgate" with us before you go to the game. We'll also keep the Meet and Greet going until at least 8:00 for those who would rather spend the extra time getting reunited.

Live Music - we've booked a band for the after party!

Saturday night, after we're done at the Ruritan Hall, around 8:00 pm, we're all invited to head down the canal bank to a classmate's home. There we'll be able to spread out on four acres and hopefully enjoy a bonfire! And, we'll be able to enjoy some live music. The Jim Newsom Quartet will be performing. Their repertoire ranges from classic rock, acoustic, folk and country to classic and contemporary jazz and standards. You can check them out on their website here... http://www.jimnewsom.com/quartet.html.

The band is being made available through donations by some of our classmates. We didn't have to increase your cost to have the band. And the Ruritan Hall is being made available to us at a greatly reduced rate. Our reunion has become an entertainment bargain! Come join us for what we hope will be two great nights!

We've found 17 more classmates!

The work goes on to track down all of our living classmates. We've found and confirmed contact information for 142. That's about two-thirds. We won't be satisfied until we found all of us, all of the Class of '71. We need your help.

Since the last Reunion News in May, we've confirmed contact information on 17 more classmates. And we've just had one more of "the missing" check in by Facebook - we're trying to confirm her contact information now.
