Reunion News - DCHS '71 - Registration Deadline! Music - Any Requests?

Friends, Classmates,

The end of August. September is rapidly approaching and many of us find ourselves in a familiar situation - "Tryin' to Reason with the Hurricane Season".

Reunion News has a couple of very important items...

  • The Registration Deadline is a week away! Get that registration form in the mail!
  • Why we have a deadline.
  • Music - The Jim Newsom Trio wants to know if we have any requests!
  • Hurricane Irene

Here are the details...

Reunion Registration Dealine

36 days to the Reunion. But only a week until our registration deadline!

The deadline is August 31. Please get your registration form in the mail on or before August 31! We want you at the reunion!

If you're not ready to send the money, drop us an e-mail (Reunion@DCHS71.com) and let us know you plan to attend or let us know that you can't. It is important that we know your plans!

Go! Get it done! You don't have to look for the form! It is right here... http://www.dchs71.com/DCHS71ClassReunionRegistration.pdf

Print it out, fill it out and send it to Millie. If you're having printer problems, just send Millie a note with your name, your guest name(s) and the required payment.

Why a deadline?

We have to meet with the caterer in just a couple of weeks. He requires a firm count. If you send your registration in by August 31, we'll have it in time to know you're coming and get the caterer's count right. If we don't, there might not be enough food.

Please send your registration in.

Will we accept your late registration? Of course! We love you guys and want you there! Please recognize that late registrations do create some problems for us and try to help us out.

Music - Jim Newsom wants to know if we have any requests!

Jim contacted us a week or so back. His band is performing at the Party after the Party, Saturday Night. He asked if we have any requests. Since his band includes Ron Hallman, original trumpet player for Bill Deal and the Rondells, those "big beach" horn tunes came immediately to mind. Jim says they'll be doing "May I?" and "I've Been Hurt". Do you have any others you'd like to hear? Send them in.

Hurricane Irene

It looks like Irene's heading up the coast into Creeker territory this weekend. Ya'll please stay safe, especially those of you on the Outer Banks!

That's all the news for this week. Please check the web site at DCHS71.com for all the details about the reunion.

See you there!
